Pest Control in Richardson
Effective Pest Removal Services for Homes & Businesses in Richardson
Richardson is the closest big market to our front door. All-Safe Pest & Termite is headquartered on Municipal Avenue in Plano, about fifteen minutes up Central Expressway, and a Richardson address is on somebody's route almost every working day. That is why same-day service is more likely here than in most of the metroplex. Technicians work Canyon Creek and Heights Park, Richardson Heights and the streets around Duck Creek, the Cottonwood Creek neighborhoods, the apartments and townhomes along the Telecom Corridor and CityLine, and the older blocks between Belt Line and Arapaho. We're family-owned, the largest independent pest control company in the area, and we've treated Richardson homes since 1984.
Most of Richardson was built between the mid 1950s and the early 1970s, and it shows in the pest calls. The typical house is a single-story brick veneer ranch on a slab, on Blackland clay, under a pecan or a live oak that was planted when the house was and now reaches over the roof. That combination gives us three things in a predictable order: roof rats in the attic when the nights cool in October, subterranean termites at the slab edge where the soaker hose runs all summer, and American cockroaches coming up from sixty-year-old sewer lines after a storm. The oldest streets near downtown have a few pier-and-beam homes with crawl spaces, which change the termite and rodent picture entirely, and the newer townhomes at CityLine bring the German cockroach and bed bug calls that come with turnover.
Businesses along the Telecom Corridor get the same local knowledge. Office buildings on Campbell and Plano Road, the restaurants around CityLine and the Chinatown center on Greenville Avenue, the medical offices off Campbell, and the property managers with a hundred apartment doors each get a written plan built around their inspector, their hours and their building, with a service report after every visit. Our commercial pest control page has the detail.

A Walk Around a Richardson Ranch House
Most of what we find on a first visit in Richardson, you could find yourself in ten minutes with a flashlight. Start outside.
- The pecan. If a limb touches the roof, or comes within jumping distance of it, that is the roof rat's road in. Look along the top rail of the fence under it for half-eaten pecans and snail shells lined up in a row; that's where they feed at night.
- The weep holes. The small gaps along the bottom course of brick every couple of feet. On a 1960s house they're often wider than modern ones, and mice, crickets and the occasional scorpion use them. If you can see daylight through one from inside the garage, so can they.
- The foundation line. Look behind the shrubs, under the hose bib and next to the air conditioner pad for a pencil-width line of dried mud running up the brick from the soil. That's a termite shelter tube, and it means they're active now. Leave it for us to confirm.
- The sewer cleanout and the floor drain. A big reddish-brown roach in the tub or the garage after a summer storm came up from the sewer line, not from your kitchen. Run water in the drains you don't use, once a week, and it often stops.
- The garage boxes. Brown recluses live in stored cardboard, and a 1960s garage with forty years of boxes is prime territory. A glue board in each corner tonight will tell you by morning.
Inside, the tell is quieter: scratching in the ceiling right after dark that stops by the time you get to the attic ladder, rice-sized droppings behind the water heater, or small tan roaches behind the refrigerator, which is a different problem from the big ones in the tub. If any of that sounds familiar, that's the call. If none of it does, you probably don't need us this month, and we'll say so.
Our Pest Management Process
We don't quote a flat price over the phone, because the price depends on the size of the lot, what we find, and whether you want a one-time treatment or an ongoing plan. Quoting before we've seen the house means either overcharging a small one or coming back to renegotiate on a big one. What we can tell you is exactly how it goes.
- Complete home evaluation: a state-certified technician walks the outside first, because that's where almost every Richardson pest problem starts. Foundation line and weep holes, roofline and turbine vents, the pecan over the roof, the irrigation and the mulch depth against the brick, then the interior with you, looking at what you've actually been seeing.
- A plain explanation and a written price: what's happening, what it will take to stop it, and what that costs, in writing, before anything is scheduled. No pressure to sign that day.
- Initial service: a full interior and exterior treatment, usually the same visit or the next available one. Same-day is often possible for an active problem, and Richardson is fifteen minutes from the office.
- Exterior barrier and ongoing visits: after the first service, most Richardson homes stay clear with exterior treatments, and the interior stays under warranty. If something shows up inside between visits, we come back and treat it at no charge. That is the All-Safe Service Guarantee.
Pest365 covers the general pests, exterior fire ant control, exterior spider web removal and exterior rodent baiting. UltraPlus adds the termite colony elimination system, termite baiting, a termite service warranty and the infrared camera inspection.
Importance of Professional Pest Service
Attempting to handle a pest infestation with store-bought sprays and traps often results in temporary relief rather than a permanent solution. Many local pests, such as German cockroaches or fire ants, are highly resilient and can quickly adapt to common over-the-counter chemicals. Without professional intervention, the source of the problem remains active in your walls or soil.
Professional technicians have the training to identify specific species and understand their unique life cycles. This knowledge allows them to apply the right treatments in the most effective locations, ensuring that the entire population is addressed. This precision saves you time and prevents the frustration of repeated DIY failures that only target the pests you can see.
Beyond just stopping insects, professional service is essential for maintaining a sanitary living environment. Pests are known to carry various pathogens and allergens that can affect your family's well-being. Experts provide the thorough cleaning and exclusion techniques needed to keep these risks out of your home. Investing in expert care provides the security of a truly protected property.
